Measuring Head With String

Positioning the String: Hold the piece of string and wrap it around the back of your head, just slightly above your ears or about 1/8 of an inch higher than the tip of your ear.

Guidance for Placement: Pull the string around to meet at the center of your forehead, just above your eyebrows. If you prefer your hat to sit a bit higher, you can adjust the string to match exactly how your hat sits on your head.

Ensuring Comfort: It's crucial not to pull the string too tight. Instead, the string should comfortably encircle your forehead, ensuring it's neither too tight nor too loose. This should mimic the feel you desire for your hat as it rests on your head.

Marking the Meeting Point: You can mark the point where the string meets with a pen or marker.

Sewn-in Sweatbands:
Many of our hats feature sewn-in sweatbands, providing the comfortable and snug fit you desire. If your hat has a fabric headband that's sewn-in, chances are there's a ribbon, Velcro tab, or string hidden behind it. Use these to adjust the hat to your preferred tightness. Some hats come with an elastic sweatband, ensuring a secure fit for an active lifestyle while keeping sweat away from your face.

Velcro Tab Sweatbands:
We've introduced a clever system to enhance the comfort of some hats by incorporating a removable sweatband that attaches to sewn-in Velcro tabs. If your hat includes this feature, you can replace the standard sweat liner with a half- or full-size reducer sweatband. Both options are provided with your new hat at no extra cost.

Adhesive Inserts:
Our most common size adjuster is the self-adhesive foam insert, included free with nearly every hat we ship. These inserts allow you to decrease the size of ANY hat by up to one full size. Simply place these inserts behind the sweatband to achieve a snug fit around your head.

How to Measure Size for Jackets

A) Neck: Ensure precise measurements by encircling the measuring tape around the neck, positioning it approximately one inch above the shoulders.

B) Shoulder: To accurately determine shoulder width, measure from one shoulder edge to the other along the back. Locate the points where the shoulders meet the arms for precise measurements.

C) Chest: To obtain an accurate chest measurement, encircle the tape around the broadest section of your chest, ensuring proximity under the arms. Maintain a level and flat position of the tape across both the front and back for precise results.

D) Sleeve: Measure from the shoulder joint point to the wrist for an accurate assessment of arms length.

E) Back Length: Back length is the measurement from the base of the center Back Neck Point or cervical to the natural waistline level across the belly button.
